The thinking behind paid search
Give your working example a clear shape
One considered decision can reveal more about your approach than a long list of campaign features.

Find the question inside the story
Choose an example with a specific uncertainty. Describe the context in general terms and name the constraint that made the decision interesting. Label a practice or personal project honestly.
Make your part distinguishable
Explain what you investigated, recommended or implemented yourself. Acknowledge the contributions and authority of other people without identifying them. Avoid presenting a shared outcome as a solitary achievement.
Show the alternative
What else could you reasonably have done? State why you preferred one option at the time and what information would have changed your view. This gives the listener something concrete to discuss.
Leave room for uncertainty
Report what the evidence supported and where it stopped. If tracking, timing or another change complicates the conclusion, say so. A useful reflection does not need a dramatic success claim.
Check permission before sharing
Remove client identifiers, account details and confidential numbers. Do not include private screenshots or credentials. Choose a different example if anonymising it would still reveal protected information.
Prepare a question of your own
Ask how the actual role handles review, measurement support and decision authority. Clarify any assessment scope before agreeing to it. This website’s career note is only an initial expression of interest in the work described.
